If you are coming to Bad Mitterndorf in summer, you’ll be pleased to hear that there is no shortage of possibilities for getting refreshingly wet!

Just a short walk (about 7 minutes) from our front door there is super new outdoor swimming complex with 3 separate pools (an Olympic-sized pool for swimming lanes, an adventure pool with a great water slide, and a shallow pool for toddlers.

There is a small café where you can buy snack meals, all kinds of drinks, and of course ice cream!

In the surrounding area there are many beautiful alpine lakes where the water is crystal clear and of drinking-water quality. Most of them have special swimming and sunbathing areas (grassy meadows) and also anchored pontoons out in the water for swimming to and relaxing on.

The nearest swimming lake to Bad Mitterndorf (the Ödensee) is only about 4 km away.

Other superb swimming lakes that are within 30 minutes’ drive from here are Grundlsee, Altausseer See, Putterersee (this is the warmest lake in the Alps!), Toplitzsee, and Hallstättersee.
